Wednesday November 14th 2018 - Day 2617 Irish eyes

Yesterday afternoon I decided to have a read through some of the old articles on the TrueMorrissey blogsite, but when I tried to log-on to it I found a notice reading:

Sorry, the blog at truemorrissey.blogspot.com has been removed.

I then checked the SlightDawnMist site and discovered exactly the same thing had happened with that blog too.

This discovery, coupled with the deletion of the Dawn and Broken Twitter accounts at the beginning of last week, meant that Morrissey was no longer amongst us, so I took the immediate decision that with Moz gone, I would go too; after all, the only reason I write this blog and tweet as @TheRatsBack is because of 'Internet Moz' - all the other stuff I write is just a lot of old nonsense that I find floating around in my head.

I tweeted to let my 58 followers know that I was leaving, and after the goodbyes had finished, and I was just about to close the account, this arrived in the comments section of FTM:

Reports of my death, for once, are greatly over-reported. 
It's only over when I say it's over.

As Morrissey doesn't have a Twitter account, HOW did he know I was leaving?

Day 2390 - "The construction of genius"

As I counted down the ' Most Watched Morrissey Video Chart 2017 ' in The Wrong Arms yesterday afternoon, we were joined by the man himself (as Morfessa), although it was only very briefly. He tweeted, "I am not staying. I have people to offend", to which I replied, "Your full time occupation...you're good at it too!", and subsequently got the response, "I offended twenty people by the time I had gargled this morning." Before he disappeared, old Mozzer left this message for me via DM: "Stop your chart immediately. Good. The interview questions are being answered. Now continue. From Alf." He then added, "Would you like a sneak peak of an answer?" As I was counting down the chart, I hadn't seen the message, so didn't reply immediately. Two minutes later I got a, "Far too slow."
