I am now running a one-day Twitter poll asking:

Did Morrissey really omit You'll Be Gone as his set-opener in Newcastle following a Twitter exchange with Rat (TRB), as reported on FTM?

A) It's certainly possible
B) No! Rat is a fantasist
C) Who is Rat?

Twitter polls are VERY compulsive. Whenever one appears in my timeline, I always vote, even when I don't really have an opinion on the subject matter. With a couple of hours still to go, the current result of this latest poll is as follows:

1st Who is Rat? 49% (18 votes)
2nd It's certainly possible 27% (10 votes)
3rd No! Rat is a fantasist 24% (9 votes)

At least I have the backing of the dreary deluded dozen..... almost!

In other news, I have read reports that at the end of Saturday's Leeds concert, a picture from Jean Cocteau's The Blood of a Poet appeared on the screen. Morrissey has used Cocteau imagery throughout his career, but the fact that Cocteau has been a part of our story makes it a possible coincidence for our list.

I have nothing else to report today, so I shall move on to the Wrong Arms weekly chart. This week Munich Air Disaster 1958 makes it into the Top 10, which will please all those who were complaining to me on Twitter last week when it only made it to Number 19. I have to confess that it has never been a particular favourite of mine, but it certainly seems to have proven very popular on this tour, even in Leeds, which was a very brave place to sing it considering the hatred between Leeds and Man Utd fans. Morrissey is certainly not one to pull any punches.

Also in the Top 10 this week is the song which has been used for the encore on this tour, Irish Blood, English Heart. Although I love this song, I wasn't overly excited to see it back in the set, only because it has been played at virtually every Morrissey concert I have ever been to. However, whilst watching the Youtube footage, it has struck me how meaningful the lyrics must feel to Morrissey following yet another round of racism accusations thrown at him in the autumn. As with If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look At Me, IBEH has obviously been added to the set as a message. Just when will the English ever be able to say that they love their country, their traditions and their culture without being accused of racism?

And on the subject of If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look At Me, at last someone has uploaded footage of it to Youtube, and this week it is at Number 2 on our chart with a bullet.

As I counted down the ' Most Watched Morrissey Video Chart 2017 ' in The Wrong Arms yesterday afternoon, we were joined by the man himself (as Morfessa), although it was only very briefly. He tweeted, "I am not staying. I have people to offend", to which I replied, "Your full time occupation...you're good at it too!", and subsequently got the response, "I offended twenty people by the time I had gargled this morning." Before he disappeared, old Mozzer left this message for me via DM: "Stop your chart immediately. Good. The interview questions are being answered. Now continue. From Alf."
