Day 2450 - Fan' dabi' dozi

I am pleased to report those Sweaty Socks who attended the two Moz shows over the weekend have now sobered-up sufficiently enough from a weekend on the Tennent's Extra & Irn-Bru to upload their videos onto You Tube. This has enabled me to not only watch lots of great concert footage, but I have also been able to produce a Wrong Arms Chart - the first one of the year. It can be found at the bottom of this blog entry.

There has been no sign of Our Mozzer in The Wrong Arms since Saturday evening, when he delivered that very amusing Tour Diary. I really had hoped that we would be getting another entry from the tour diary; especially as there has been some great fall-out following Morrissey mentioning that Nicola Sturgeon would, "put her hands in anyone's pockets", but alas, no..... or at least, not yet - we live in hope that Morrissey's parody writing juices may flow some more.

That aforementioned fall-out has been quite ridiculous; as is usually the case when the mainstream media try to spin a Morrissey comment, with the likes of The Scotsman trying to make out that there was some kind of mass walk-out from the concert in Glasgow, which just didn't happen - it is Fake News and click bait. It is frightening to think that some people actually do believe everything that they read though, especially if it comes from a source they deem to be 'reliable'.

One such person who believed what they read in The Scotsman, is a Nicola Sturgeon loving SNP voter with the Twitter handle, @ProctorLewis1, who took to Twitter to tweet, "He is a fake, he said he hates the meat and fishing industry, and compared those that eat meat to pedophiles but he buys meat, and fish weakly (sic....unless he means that Morrissey buys his meat and fish without conviction!). He eats cheese, thus supports an industrial slaughter of thousands of calf's (sic) each year on the UK. Hypocrite. But nice wee songs."

Social media seems to allow people to make libellous comments at will, with people knowing that they are safe from being convicted because of the cost of taking somebody to court. It is getting to the point where it is near on impossible to know if ANYTHING you read is true or not. When the mainstream media can't even be trusted to give us the truth, then who do we trust?

Morrissey has regularly used his song lyrics to get people to question everything, but he also did it when he set up his MorrisseysWorld blog. His FOUR denials about him being connected to MorrisseysWorld were a perfect example that you should question EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY, but very few did.

And as for Nicola Sturgeon, when she was told that Morrissey had made mention of her, she responded that although she wasn't a huge Smiths fan, she thought Morrissey was a huge talent, and added that When You Open Your Legs is a fan' dabi' double dozi song..... at least I think that's what she said - if I'm honest, I couldn't understand a word.

Tonight Morrissey continues the arena section of his tour with a concert in Dublin. I'm not aware of any of the Blue Rose Society going, but our old friend Loughton Lil will be there, as well as secret MorrisseysWorlder, Alex Joannides. There will definitely be a blue rose going to Leeds on Saturday, where the latest BRS member, Caitlin (@a_m0nster), will be attempting to get a rose to Moz - the question is, does he still want our roses? Time, as ever....

Day 2390 - "The construction of genius"

As I counted down the ' Most Watched Morrissey Video Chart 2017 ' in The Wrong Arms yesterday afternoon, we were joined by the man himself (as Morfessa), although it was only very briefly. He tweeted, "I am not staying. I have people to offend", to which I replied, "Your full time occupation...you're good at it too!", and subsequently got the response, "I offended twenty people by the time I had gargled this morning." Before he disappeared, old Mozzer left this message for me via DM: "Stop your chart immediately. Good. The interview questions are being answered. Now continue. From Alf."
