Day 2390 - "The construction of genius"

As I counted down the ' Most Watched Morrissey Video Chart 2017 ' in The Wrong Arms yesterday afternoon, we were joined by the man himself (as Morfessa), although it was only very briefly. He tweeted, "I am not staying. I have people to offend", to which I replied, "Your full time occupation...you're good at it too!", and subsequently got the response, "I offended twenty people by the time I had gargled this morning." Before he disappeared, old Mozzer left this message for me via DM: "Stop your chart immediately. Good. The interview questions are being answered. Now continue. From Alf." He then added, "Would you like a sneak peak of an answer?" As I was counting down the chart, I hadn't seen the message, so didn't reply immediately. Two minutes later I got a, "Far too slow." Wednesday May 9 2018 (The real and proper Day 2429) - The return of Len Shackleton

I was rummaging through some old FTM's the other week, when I came across one from April 2016 -  Day 1688 - The Sending Off of Len Shackleton.   The piece was about a line in Big Hard Excellent Fish's Imperfect List  - a track that Morrissey used to play to the audience just prior to coming on stage. My piece from April 2016 didn't manage to come up with a definitive reason as to why the line about Len Shackleton's sending off was included in the Imperfect List, although one of the author's; Morrissey's old mucker, Jake Walters, had let me know that it was an, "in joke" and, "a nod to an old friend of ours designer/artist Vaughn Oliver". Having re-read my piece, I decided to make contact with Jake again, via Twitter, to see if he would give me any more information about this very peculiar mentioning of the former Sunderland footballer,  Len Shackleton , and in particular, the 'sending off', which isn't mentioned anywhere . Monday November 12th 2018 - Day 2615 Life is a Pigsty

As I lay in bed on Sunday night watching Youtube footage of Morrissey's Saturday night concert in San Diego; which incidentally was the last show of the six 'California Specials', I was struck with just how much Morrissey was enjoying himself. He has always said that he lives to be on the stage, but in these six shows he has been absolutely full of energy, offering-up shimmying dance moves, a whole load of mic-cord whipping and; as he aims his lyrics of disdain at all the lying journalists and turn-away former fans, lots of finger pointing, fist punching, and facial grimacing. Morrissey is on fire.
