Day 2313 - The chart returns

There is no sign of the new parody piece we were promised by Alf, and no sign of any old classics as hinted by Morfessa. There has also been no sign of either Alf or Morfessa in The Wrong Arms, but as the tour approaches, and as the TV work hots up (a Graham Norton recording yesterday and a Berlin show next week), I guess it's only to be expected that we will lose Moz from The Arms.

So, with no news to report, I shall publish a chart instead. Back on Day 2265 I wrote that Bitchy Bobby Neville had taken over as the new DJ in The Wrong Arms, but he keeps forgetting to produce a chart, so today I took it upon myself to countdown a chart on Twitter; after all, we have all these wonderful new songs that need a chart placing. I was rummaging through some old FTM's the other week, when I came across one from April 2016 -  Day 1688 - The Sending Off of Len Shackleton.   The piece was about a line in Big Hard Excellent Fish's Imperfect List  - a track that Morrissey used to play to the audience just prior to coming on stage. My piece from April 2016 didn't manage to come up with a definitive reason as to why the line about Len Shackleton's sending off was included in the Imperfect List, although one of the author's; Morrissey's old mucker, Jake Walters, had let me know that it was an, "in joke" and, "a nod to an old friend of ours designer/artist Vaughn Oliver". Monday November 12th 2018 - Day 2615 Life is a Pigsty

As I lay in bed on Sunday night watching Youtube footage of Morrissey's Saturday night concert in San Diego; which incidentally was the last show of the six 'California Specials', I was struck with just how much Morrissey was enjoying himself. He has always said that he lives to be on the stage, but in these six shows he has been absolutely full of energy, offering-up shimmying dance moves, a whole load of mic-cord whipping and; as he aims his lyrics of disdain at all the lying journalists and turn-away former fans, lots of finger pointing, fist punching, and facial grimacing. Morrissey is on fire.
