Monday October 22nd 2018 - Day 2594 - Last and final warning
The last time I had any contact with Our Mozzer was a week ago, in the confines of the Twitter DM box, where he issued me with a, "Last and final warning". My crime? I had sent him a message asking him to unblock Portland Jo (@LifeisaPigsty_), who Moz had apparently blocked with both the Dawn and Broken accounts. I didn't really know why he had decided to block Jo; who was the person he sang Rose Garden for in Phoenix last November, but as Jo had asked me to ask M to unblock her, I contacted him to make the request. First of all Morrissey (as Dawn) replied with a simple, "nein", and when I asked again; adding a personal plea from Jo; which she had asked me to forward, I got the reply, "Don't ever do that again" followed by, "Last and final warning."
When Morrissey is in the sort of mood where he blocks people he sings songs for, and issues last and final warnings to those who write about him on a daily basis, it is time to back away and leave him alone, which is exactly what I have done.
In other news, Morrissey Central has posted a couple of photos from 2004 of Morrissey with friend/former management team member, Jed Weitzman. One of the photos is dreadfully blurry; the sort of photo that most people would delete, so to publish it is rather strange. Perhaps it is because the photo features Morrissey talking on a mobile phone which, as far as I am aware, is the first photo ever to appear in public of Morrissey using a mobile.
BLURRY MOZ AND BLURRY JED
JED AND MOZ - THE OTHER PHOTO POSTED ON MORRISSEY CENTRAL
Morrissey's nephew, Sam, tweeted a link to the Morrissey Central posting, and it was retweeted by Jed. It would all tend to suggest that Moz and Jed have made up their differences, if ever they had any differences!
In other, other news, the Ricky Gervais 'Work in Progress' gig I attended last Monday in Highgate was very funny. The highlight was a joke about a baby's funeral, but a couple of the other jokes lost their way a bit, and therefore will either need more work or will never see the light of day - particularly the one about masturbating over a photo of baby Hitler! As for visiting George Michael in Highgate cemetery, it didn't happen - it was closed.
And now, I shall return to listening to LP's latest single, Recovery, which I am pretty much playing on repeat - it's a beauty, in fact, it is quite possibly the greatest break-up song of all time.... not that I am going through a break-up; although after that last and final warning, it might not be long before I am!
Morrissey returns to the stage in just nine days.
