Day 2430 - Throttled

Image
My blog entry of yesterday received the lowest number of page views since I first started writing FTM back in 2011 - it also received zero comments, which hasn't happened for a very long time - I have lost my audience. But writing for an audience is not why I do this, it is merely my diary of Morrissey posting 'unseen' on the internet, and if people aren't interested in that, then more fool them. Morrissey returned to Twitter again yesterday as Dawn Mist, and tweeted: "I have spent countless years gripping onto a life that is intent on only throttling." - it doesn't get more Morrisseyesque than that! I replied to the above tweet with, "And yet you continue to grip, which must mean you still prefer it to the alternative. Life is merely a survival game." Morrissey's response was both cutting and witty: "I don't believe it is otherwise you would have been knocked out after the first roll of the dice." C**t! Dawn's only other tw...

Day 2429 - "Money leeching scum"

Image
Dawn Mist made a very fleeting visit to The Wrong Arms yesterday evening at 6pm, and posted just one tweet: "Beckham launches MLS team. MLS meaning money leeching scum." Strong words from our favourite lighthouse keeper - she obviously isn't a fan of Beckham Inc. DAVID BECKHAM - NOW A SUIT 'SUPPORTERS' OF BECKHAM'S NEW MIAMI TEAM.... A TEAM WHICH DOESN'T ACTUALLY EXIST YET, AND HAS NO PLAYERS Dawn's only other action on Twitter was to 'favourite'/'like' (or whatever it is) this tweet that I had posted earlier in the day: "Looking forward to seeing/hearing this live (hopefully) - Who Will Protect Us From The Police? " Dawn's followers are now numbered at 60. In other news, contributors to the Morrissey-Solo website have been quick to dismiss the obituary given by Morrissey (as Dawn) for Mark E. Smith as a fake. They are once again accusing me of being the faker behind this whole thing. Oh, the poor little fools. Just sevent...

Day 2427 - "Tabula rasa"

Image
Morrissey again returned to Twitter on Friday as lighthouse keeper, Dawn Mist (@DawnTheSecond), and was in an all embracing, loving mood, yet also having with him his wit and cutting edge. During the conversations that followed, Morrissey gave his own obituary of the recently departed Mark E. Smith, but more about that later. Here is how Friday's conversation flowed: DAWN: And the flame has gone out And I don't even sigh And tears so proud It pours like liquid arrogance (Ed - I have no idea if these are lyrics from a song, or words from a poem, or Morrissey's own words. They're probably lyrics from a Patti Smith song, and I'll end up being called a philistine again .) ME: Lovely words. For anyone in particular? DAWN: For the many, for the few. For the lost, for the departed. For those who were bored before they even started. ME: God, how I've missed you! *Licks seminal artist's face* DAWN: Down my child. HEATHER: Your light is needed more than ever. You'...

Day 2425 - A new Dawn

Image
*Comes in singing* Birds flyin' high, you know how I feel Sun in the sky, you know how I feel Breeze driftin' on by, you know how I feel It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me Yeah, it's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me, oooooooooh And I'm feelin' good In the early hours of the morning of Sunday December 24th 2017 ( FTM Day 2392 ), Morrissey sent me a private Twitter message that read, "The BRS are dead to me. As are you. Goodbye." That was the last I heard from him.......... until now - THE MOZZIAH IS BACK! *Waves palm leaves and blue roses and starts singing again* It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me.....and...I'm......feel_in' good. Morrissey's return is in the guise of Dawn Mist, the mystical lighthouse keeper who first joined us in July 2016 . Dawn became such a popular pessoa , that she even started  her own blog, coincidentally, on this very day last ...

Day 2382 - Stupidity, Despair, Giros, Teresas, Fence-Sitters and Legal dreams

Image
*THIS ENTRY WAS POSTED ON DECEMBER 14TH 2017, BUT WHEN I MADE A SLIGHT EDIT ON JANUARY 6TH 2018, THE POSTING DATE WAS RESET TO THAT DATE. BLOGGER IS SHIT!* Morrissey (as @TrueMorfessa) made a brief appearance on Twitter yesterday, tweeting: "Stupidity sells and intelligence repels." The tweet was obviously aimed at the recent hysterical headlines, and is a tweet that our Mozzer has posted on various other occasions. FTM records show me that he tweeted the same thing to Justin Bieber on Sunday June 24th 2012 , whilst on Wednesday May 14th 2014  he tweeted, "Stupidity sells and intelligence repels. Except in Morrissey's World." Morrissey's only other tweet was in response to Heather, who had pointed out that the "stupidity sells" tweet was even more true now than when first tweeted. Morrissey replied, "I despair." Although Morrissey's visit to the public bar of The Wrong Arms was brief, I did spend a few hours, on and off, chatting with...

Day 2405 - Gone to ground

Image
Our journey may be over, but another 'coincidence' has been spotted. Twitter user Caitlin (@a_m0nster) contacted me earlier today to link me to a Morrissey interview with the Telegraph from June 2011 , in which Morrissey said, "You can be a hoot on the internet, and the world still wouldn't know about it." This was obviously a reference to the MorrisseysWorld blog. It hasn't been mentioned on this blog of mine before because that interview was three months before I had discovered MorrisseysWorld. I shall add it to our list. 2011 now seems like such an innocent age compared to today. In 2011 Morrissey could give interviews to newspapers without every single comment being taken out of context and turned into a sensational headline. Also in 2011, the MorrisseysWorld blog was dismissed; mainly on the basis of Morrissey's fans saying, "he just wouldn't do it", but if the blog had been born now , then I think more fans might have been more open min...
